A Letter to Myself.
Dear future me, hi!
The freshman year is almost over. It is really sad because it was an unbelivable experience. I am not sorry that I decided to stay in the American group. At first I thoght British English was better American English. But I started to remember English classes with my tutor who always told me I pronounced words with the American accent. Besides, I remembered how I like jazz and the American intonation in many films. And the final decision I made on the first class with Ms. B. when she started to teach us phonetics. All these things influenced my decision, and I am happy that I study and will study here.
I really like our group. The atmosphere of hard-working and spirit-stirring people inspires me to study more and to be more open-minded.
In September I had a goal — to speak English. Now I understand I can speak English. My level is higher than in September. I haven’t ever thought that it is possible to speak English fluently, improve your accent and vocabulary, understand grammar better, and write big posts in English in 9–10 months. I can’t believe that we all did it. Also, now we can present some topics and speak about them in English. I remember how we were stressed out when we had to speak about different States. It was our first presenting experience.
As for life hacks, I think, future Anita, you know them.
1) Try to sleep 8 hours every day;
2) Don’t miss deadlines;
3) Don’t spend much time in the Internet if it is unnecessary.
As for summer plans:
- Enjoy working in the camp. I believe it will be really cool expereince that can help you to develop yourself.
- Live in English.
- Reading some books that is written in the list.
- Stretch a lot. And maybe I will take a dance course in the studio Proтанцы in my hometown.
- Hanging out with my friends.
I think that’s all I wanted to say. I believe you will enjoy the second year of studies. Just wait. Everything will be fine.
Love,
Anita
